The School Council representatives are Year 6 pupils who are awarded the role as part of their Posts of Responsibility. The posts are changed each term. The School Council benefits the whole school, pupil and teachers, because it provides opportunities for pupils to communicate their feelings as well as influence decision making. School Councillors develop skills such as confidence, communication and planning. It is the responsibility of each representative to ensure that they express both their own views of all the pupils they represent.
Gracefield is a school who likes to think of others and the school council help plan and run successful fund raising campaigns for charities including: Sport Relief; Children in Need; and Comic Relief. Each term they help choose a charity for a fund raising project.
We value the opinions of our pupils and the School Council gives pupils a forum to share their opinions with the Headteacher and other members of staff.
